PETER A. DAVIS

Born in 1936 in Ludington, Michigan, Peter Davis has over
35 years experience as a trial lawyer and has tried many cases
throughout Michigan as well as in other states. He has argued
numerous appeals before the Michigan Court of Appeals and
the United States Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit, and
he has handled several appeals to the Michigan Supreme Court
as well as the Supreme Court of the United States.
Mr. Davis received his law degree from Northwestern University
in Chicago, Illinois, in 1966 and was admitted to practice
law in Michigan in June of that year. He was admitted to practice
law in the state of California in 1978.
Mr. Davis began his career at a Detroit firm specializing
in commercial litigation and labor law. He moved to Ann Arbor
in 1970 to handle litigation for a five lawyer firm doing
mostly insurance defense work. He began representing plaintiffs
then and started his own firm in 1978. The firm of Davis &
Kuhnke, P.C. was founded in mid-1997.
For approximately ten years, Mr. Davis has declined all defense
work and has focused his practice exclusively on representing
plaintiffs. He is the author of numerous publications and
has received various honors and awards. Click on curriculum

Mr. Davis has varied interests, and has been active in many
local and civic organizations, including the Ann Arbor Street
Art Fair, where he served as member of the Board of Directors,
and the University Music Society where he contributed recipes
and other efforts to that Society's award-winning cookbook,
Bravo!. He is a past trustee of Ann Arbor Charter Township
and has spent many years actively participating with the township's
fire and safety committee.

Carol Kuhnke was born in Monroe, Michigan in 1968, and she
was educated at the University of Michigan and Chicago-Kent
College of Law where she received her J.D. degree in 1993.
She practiced law in Chicago representing defendants in construction
accident cases, as well as plaintiffs in all kinds of injury
matters. She left a large-firm practice to return to Michigan
in mid-1996. She is President of the Washtenaw Trial Lawyers
Association and is a skilled litigator.
Ms. Kuhnke serves on the Zoning Board of Appeals for the
City of Ann Arbor, and volunteers as adviser to her college
sorority, Delta Delta Delta.
